This is my take on the sketch:

I've used papers from the following collections; Odds and Ends, Social Club and Mitten Weather. The Ready Set Chip is from Circa 1934. I think this shows just how well all their different lines work together while still being so different!

Felt Flower!

Went to my local papercraft shop the other day and saw a flower embellishment that I really liked -but unfortunately it was  terribly expensive )-: so I decided to try and make my own version of it. This was my first try so I didn't take any pictures as I made it, but I'll post a tutorial for it as soon as I have the time. If I'm lucky I'll have a student at school who wants to make one so I can write it there (-;
Anyway, here is the result:

I used the colors from the Playdate Cafe and will enter it for the Felt challenge at Moxie Fab World and for the Fabric/Felt challenge at Lily Pad cards.
The stamps I've used are from Waltzing Mouse and Skipping stones.

Have a great Thursday. I'm back on Saturday with some very exciting news I've been wanting to tell you for a long time (a month (-:) and since it is my 1 year blogaversary, that's also when I'll draw the winner of my little giveaway.
Hugs Karin

PTI August Blog Hop in My style!

Here is my take on the beautiful picture for Papertrey Ink's bloghop challenge this month. I tried to use as many of my favorite "things" for it for Case Study's Signature Style challenge. For those of you who follow my blog know I love to make my own flowers, I couldn't live without my PTI stamps, grandma's old lace, that leaf die and my roll of hempstring (-:. I love polkadots and my cards are usually not super bright and colorful (something I try hard at changing, but bright colors and big patterns still don't feel really "me".)
I'm also entering this for the "Anything Goes" challenge at A Passion for Papertrey!

For my card I've used:
Stamps; Tag its #2 and Button Boutique
Impression plate: Book Print
Dies: Banner Builder
Have a great day and a great hop, hugs, Karin

City Apartment Living Room Scene!

The featured technique at Hero Art's challenge this month is "create a scene" using their stamps, and I used the Tuesday Trigger inspiration photo from Moxie Fab and made this little scene from a city apartment living room. I wanted soft colors for my card and there is no mirror but a window instead! I picked up the flowers, a chair and a  table in my card and I first made a vase but it covered too much of the bg so I left it out.
I made sure I only used papers from my scrap box so I could enter it at  City Crafter challenge blog.
The stamps I've used are Silly Scape and some of the clear stamps from the great set Wish You Were Here. Paper from 7 gypsies.
Have a great day! Hugs Karin

Still time to enter my little giveaway; HERE !
